Insta360 Announces Updated GO 3S for 4k30fps Video
Insta360 has unveiled the latest addition to its popular GO series, the GO 3S. This compact action camera is designed to offer users unparalleled video quality and versatility, with the ability to capture stunning 4k30fps footage.
Insta360 Introduces the GO 3S Action Camera
Insta360 has announced the release of the GO 3S, an action camera that closely resembles last year's GO 3 model but boasts higher resolution capabilities. The camera is available at a suggested retail price of €400.
The Insta360 GO 3S measures 25.6x54.4x24.8mm, nearly identical in size to its predecessor, but weighs approximately 39 grams, about 3.5 grams more. It features a maximum recording resolution of 3840x2160 pixels at 30fps, an upgrade from the previous model's 2.7k resolution at the same frame rate. The camera's sensor resolution has also been enhanced to 12 megapixels from the previous 7 megapixels.
Despite retaining a 310mAh battery, the GO 3S offers a slightly shorter battery life of 38 minutes at 1080p resolution and 30fps, compared to 45 minutes for the previous model. The new camera is water-resistant up to 10 meters, an improvement from the previous 5 meters. Insta360 claims the new CPU provides up to 50 percent more processing power, though details about the chip are not disclosed. Additionally, the camera supports Apple's Find My feature and gesture control.
The Insta360 GO 3S comes with the same Action Pod as its predecessor. The charging case features a 1270mAh battery, and customers can purchase the S-variant without the Action Pod if they already own the regular GO 3 model, as they are compatible.
